PV-PYC 200 - Pressure/Vacuum Pycnometer 200
The unique design of dual technique PV-Pyc 200™ pycnometer can be used as a gas (Helium) pycnometer utilizing gas expansion method or as a true vacuum pycnometer when only ambient air is involved but no mercury or glassware is used as in a classical air pycnometer. The introduced symmetrical concept of true density measurements by using pressurized and vacuum conditions relative to atmospheric pressure can provide additional characterization of solid and semi-solid samples. The pycnometer is optimized for speed and larger size samples, up to 200 cc. It is fully automated and controlled via PC software and any computer with Windows OS can be used. The pycnometer is powered by any regulated 12 V DC source (6-12 Watts needed) and can be used in lab or field applications.
